There are heroes among us. In the depths of the darkest shadow, secreted from the eyes of the everyday citizen, heroes wander the streets righting wrongs and protecting the sleeping innocents from nefarious villains. They arm themselves with the tools necessary to complete their sacred missions and cloak themselves in intimidating costumes. They strike fear in the hearts of every ne’er-do-well and rush to the aide of the weakest among us. Brandishing names such as Shadowhare, Master Legend and Wall Creeper these mighty heroes wrap their cloaks around our cities and vow to remain vigilant and ever watchful for criminals.
And they have a really nifty website, too (http://www.reallifesuperheroes.org).
Seriously, these guys are out there, wearing spandex and announcing their vigilance. Really.
Don’t take my word for it a television station in Cincinnati interviewed the caped and masked crime-fighter Shadowhare and ran the story. You can view it at their website (http://www.wlwt.com/news/19305002/detail.html).
Maybe I am just jaded but, does anyone else find this to be rather sad? How many times did this guy get beat up on the playground? Hell, how many times does he get beat up now?
Scrawny, wrapped in spandex and geeky is no way to go through life son…
