Invasion!

“The children born in 2006 will witness in their lifetimes the death of the West," warns columnist and politician Pat Buchanan in his new book, State of Emergency: Third World Invasion and Conquest of America. The book goes on to compare the current American and European immigration situation to that of ancient Rome. Western civilization, Buchanan says, is doomed.

Why then, are the cries to our lawmakers falling on deaf ears? Why are there no initiatives – or very few anyway – to secure our borders? At the current rate of entry, the United States’ infrastructure will collapse under the weight of illegal immigrants using services essentially for free. In a matter of years, our own government will be unable to continue to support the influx and will begin to shut down. In California the shut downs have already begun in the form of hospitals closing their doors by the dozens because they can not continue to provide health care to uninsured immigrants using Emergency Rooms as clinics.

What can we do? As citizens, naturally born or naturalized, we need to voice our outrage at this invasion to our elected lawmakers. We need to insist that money be channeled to the necessary agencies to help fight this growing problem before we see a collapse of infrastructure. We need to resolutely demand strict controls on immigration and reduce the tide of illegals that is drowning states.

Build a fence, beef up the border patrol, enforce laws prohibiting the employment of illegal aliens, and begin deporting those who break our laws. Why do we even have to say these things? Had the law been enforced to begin with we would not be in the mess we are in now.

The American dream is available to all who desire it. But, it must be obtained legally and in such a manner as to not endanger its very existence.

Ain't That a Kick in the Pants

After three years of dedicated service, my most recent employer decided it was time to part ways. This after arriving home on a Saturday afternoon from a week-long business trip to the happy-time town of Miamisburg, OH. So, back into the roiling waters of the job market I go. Anyone need a moderately talented trainer skilled in needs analysis, scope preparation, curriculum development and course facilitation?

He's Baaaaaaack!

After a long absence, I am back and blogging about the things that get my goat, raise my interest and keep me from slumbering at night. With all that is happening in this wacky world we live in, I am sure there will be plenty to write about. Watch for articles about politics, news, food, drink, deals, etc. Its like your on-line home for a "Today" show-like experience only snarkier. For now, peruse some of the older (OK, very old) posts on this blog to get an idea of what I have in store for you. You will soon find yourself embroiled in wild rants, questionable raves and challenging discussion. Can you dig it?

Welcome

Ever step out of your house early in the morning, sniff the cool, moist air of the new day and just know that everyone, everywhere is out to get you? Have you ever woke up in the middle of the night, sweating, breathing hard, your heart pounding in your chest from a particularly vivid dream involving alien abduction, leisure suits, and fruit cocktail? Have you ever gone to the grocery store gotten a cart with a jittery wheel, fantasized about the produce, wondered if the surveillance cameras saw you stuff the rump roast down your shorts, and tried to purchase beer with food stamps? Me either. I was just wondering. Welcome to my blog. I plan to use this little slice of the Internet to post some of my random thoughts. I'll post reviews of restaurants, movies, and anything else I feel like reviewing. I'll post travelogues with info about trips I have taken, places I have seen, and people I have met. I'll post rants about politics, the economy, public figures, and p...
